Several expert reports were obtained by the defense during the post conviction  process of the trial.  Below is a short description of each, please click on the link to see the full report.

Brent Turvey Report Jan. 2003   Mr. Turvey is a Forensic Scientist and Criminal Profiler.  He became involved in David's case in 2002, after being contacted by Sue Gless.  He wrote his original report, dated January 2003, after reviewing the limited documentation available.   In this report he explains how the crime could not have happened the way that Joe Wilkes testified to.

Brent Turvey Report Feb. 2003 - Warning - Graphic pictures are included in this report.  Mr. Turvey expanded his report in February 2003, after post-conviction attorney's received copies of crime scene photos previously unavailable to them, and after a motion permitting the viewing of evidence was granted.  Mr. Turvey testified concerning his findings at David's post-conviction hearing in May 2003.

Michael Robertson Report  Mr. Robertson is a Questioned Documents Examiner.  He became involved in David's case in 2003, after being contacted by Sue Gless.  He examined known handwriting samples pertinent to David's post-conviction motion, and wrote a report stating his conclusions.  Mr. Robertson testified concerning his report at David's post-conviction hearing in May 2003.
